19 Crimes® is a wine company from Australia, that has taken the history of the settlement and sentence of settling in Australia, to stylize their company.
For those who did not know, after the American Revolution, and the over population of their prisons, Queen Victoria choose 19 crimes that could get a citizen of Britain exiled to Australia. Between 1788 and 1868 over 165,000 convicts were displaced from their homes, and sent via ship to the continent. Many died at sea, but for those that survived they helped make Australia the country that it is today.
To continue the style of the story, each bottle has a cork which could list one of the 19 crimes that the settlers would have to have been guilty of to be sentenced to Australia.
But how does all this story make me Infamous?
