Right after checking out and reviewing the new season of Resident Alien, we got the chance to sit down and chat with Levi Fiehler who plays Mayor Ben Hawthorne on Resident Alien.
Levi Fiehler has played this role for all four seasons of the show, and says he has a unique perspective on the fictional town of Patience from the series due to its similarities with his hometown of Juneau, Alaska. Walking through the scenes and seeing characters from the city, he’s able to relate them to experiences he had back home when he was a child.
In fact Patience is so much like his hometown that it reminds him so much of home that sometimes he can miss it while filming. He tells us that during covid when they were on lockdown for 9 months in Canada for filming it was almost unbearable.
His character has taken quite a few turns throughout the series, but he says that once he learned his character had been abducted by aliens quite a bit as a child, it made his mannerisms and the character as directed by the showrunner make more sense.
While he likes the new direction of his character is taking in season 4, with him and his wife becoming more action oriented about getting back their child stolen from them by the grays, The humor is not lost on him though ,as Mayor Ben and his wife Kate Hawthorne played by Meredith Garretson are fully abandoning their other child, Max played by Judah Prehn.
It was a lot of fun talking to Levi, but if you want to know more about the upcoming 4th season of Resident Alien, you can always check out our review Here.
