Pikipek drills its way into your heart – November Community Day

Welcome back, Trainers! This month’s Community Day is centered around Alola’s Route One bird, Pikipek! Kind of like the Alolan Pidgey, this little critter has migrated from Generation 7 into your neighborhood and will now be available in Shiny.

The date and time are November 30th, 2:00pm till 5:00pm local time.

Here’s your list of bonuses:

  • 3X Catch Stardust.
  • 2X Catch Candy.
  • 2X chance for Candy XL to be awarded during catches so long as you’re Level 31 or Higher.
  • Incense launched during event hours will last for 3 hours>
  • Lure Modules, though, will last for one hour. They can draw in Pikipek between 2:00pm and 9:00pm with the same shiny odds as during the event proper. These Pikipek also may have a special background!
  • Photobombs.
  • 1 additional Special Trade may be performed. (2:00pm till 10:00pm)
  • Trades will cost 50% less Stardust. (2:00pm till 10:00pm)
  • Stickers available in all the usual ways will be Pikipek themed.
  • For $1.99 or your local equivalent, you can take part in a Special Research story. (You can gift these passes to Great Friends for the same price.) Rewards include Pikipek with a special background amongst other things. (Rare Candy XL and a Premium Battle Pass!)
  • Evolve Pikipek or Trumbeak all the way to Toucannon between 2:00pm and 9:00pm and it will learn the Community Day exclusive move, Beak Blast.
  • We’ve already Spotlighted Pikipek and its evolutions here! [[[ link – https://nerdnewssocial.com/pgo-alola-bestiary-p1/ ]]] (Oh my Arceus, has it really been over three years since we got Alolan Pokemon!? Time sure flies… Much like Pikipek!) So, if you want to take a look at its lore and stats, check that out. The main new addition is the move Beak Blast which is a STAB Flying attack that’s going to be a little better than Toucannon’s other STAB Flying option, Drill Peck. Especially in Trainer battles where it will lower the opponent’s Attack by one stage.

Shiny Pikipek swaps the orange tuft on its forehead for something more magenta. Not especially difficult to spot!

And that’s all I’ve got for you this time around, Trainers! Have fun out there, stay warm and hydrated and be kind to one another. As always, I wish you the absolute best of luck in catchin’ them all!
