Papaya Brings World’s First Solitaire Championship!

Taking place in February 2026, Papaya is bringing the world’s first-ever solitaire championship to Miami, Florida.

The event is hosted by Papaya, the mobile gaming giant who has had over 37 million downloads, and runs over 15 million daily tournaments, for it’s millions of active daily players. Now they are bringing the experience into the real world!

While Solitaire has existed since the late 18th century, it became more commonly played thanks to the inclusion of the game for free in 1990’s Microsoft release of Windows 3.

Today, a large group of people enjoy this game through Solitaire Cash, a Papaya app. Now that same app is bringing the first-ever World Solitaire Championship in the form of a global weekend tournament where finalists from all over the world will fly into Miami, Florida for an all-expenses-paid trip, with the chance of winning up to $300,000 in prizes.

The champion of the event walks away with $150,000!

Players gained entry in November. The 400 finalists will be flown to Miami for an all-expenses-paid weekend at the Fountainebleau, and guests will then head to the Temple House Miami, South Beach’s premiere event venue.
