Black Voices in Gaming Showcase Returns For 2026

XPerience Studios announces the return of the Black Voices in Gaming Showcase.

The showcase will take place on February 19, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. (PST) and will be showcased on BVIG Twitch channel and co-streamed on IGN and GameSpot.

During the experience, XPerience Studios announced the recipients of the XP Grant:

  • Jerron Jacques – Awarded for his upcoming project Erased, a dark, psychological thriller where teens uncover the truth after their memories were erased
  • NuChallenger – Led by Shawn Alexander Allen, awarded for upcoming title Beatdown City Survivors
  • XP Grant recipients will recieve financial support, mentorship and industry guidance!

    Additionally, XPerience Studios is unveiling their “Black Voices in Gaming 2025 Freshman Class” which represents the next wave of Black talent in games, with the hope that spotlighting them will help increase their visibility, offer them mentorship opportunities, as well as access to the XPerience Studios’ ecosystem of support. Here are the names in the Freshman Class:

  • Additionally, all nominees of the Black Voices in Gaming Award from the 2025 Indie Game Awards will receive complimentary passes to the D.I.C.E. Awards 2026.

    This will allow Black developers to connect directly with others in the industry at one of the most influential gatherings. Hopefully this will allow the nominees to fostering meaningful networking and long-term career opportunities.
