Movies For The Week Of October 2, 2026

Beware Boiúna
Rotten Tomatoes Reviewer Score – 67%

When a team of doctors attempt a mission in the rain forest, they find themselves unwelcome guests, and the victim of a predator, the Boiúna.

If you like Action-Horror, then this will be a fun watch. The ratings on this movie aren’t too good, but horror doesn’t have to be amazing to be fun.

Digger
Rotten Tomatoes Reviewer Score – (None Available Yet)

When the worlds most powerful man causes a disaster that could destroy the world, he must embark on a frantic mission to save it, while at the very least prove he is humanity’s savior.

This really feels as if Elon Musk was merged with real life Tom Cruise. That being said, the trailer looks like they might be utilizing AI in it’s creation, and that worries me. The ad campaign for the movie also looks horrible, but some reviews have already come in and say the film is amazing. We will have to wait and see.

The Influencer Project
Rotten Tomatoes Reviewer Score – (None Available Yet)

When a documentary crew covers real-life content creator Chiara King on her travels, they promise an unfiltered look behind the scenese, but when an obsessive stalker begins closing in, the documentary takes a dark turn.

Not a documentary, but more found footage styled similar to the creators earlier works, like the Blair Witch Project. The horror of this film is even influenced by actual events.

Rolling Loud: The Movie
Rotten Tomatoes Reviewer Score – (None Available Yet)

When an overprotective father, played by Owen Wilson, sneaks his 13-year-old son into Miami’s Rolling Loud hip-hop festival, it sets off a chaotic adventure. Now the pair will have to make their way through crowds, security, and their own family drama.

If you are looking for a comedy, then Owen Wilson is playing close to his normal style of films, while also leaning in to the fact that he is now well past father age, and taking on more adult, at least adjacent, roles.

Verity
Rotten Tomatoes Reviewer Score – (None Available Yet)

Author Verity Crawford, played by Anne Hathaway, is struggling to write with the aid of her ghost writer, played by Dakota Johnson, when her ghost writer uncovers Verity’s chilling autobiographical notes specifically about her husband. Now the ghost writer has trouble determining if the notes are fiction or reality.

This film is adapted from Colleen Hoover’s best-selling novel. If you are looking for a psychological thriller, then this might be a nice film to watch. Also I love a film with Josh Harnett!
