It’s National App Day, and while that can mean a lot since applications are so commonly used to do so many things in our everyday life, we thought n celebration of the Comic Round Up we’d focus on the best apps to get comic books from!
Whether you are away on a long distance trip, relaxing in your bed, or trying to pass the time on a rainy day, here are some of our favorite apps to be able to get your comic book fix!
Hoopla
If you have a public library card, then you likely have the ability to gain access to the Hoopla app for free! They have a great collection of older comic books, so many brands and collections, but you do have a limited amount of checkouts per month.
Comixology / Kindle
I took for purchasing, storing, and accessing your comic books that are digitally purchased. Thanks to it’s work through Amazon you have access to so many books to read in one convenient place. It can get pricey though.
Marvel Unlimited / DC Universe Infinite
An All you can read service that gives you access to All but the new releases. The only draw back is you will always be 3-6 months behind on your comics if you communicate and socialize in the comic book forums and social groups.
Webtoon
A huge collection of comic books, comic strips, and independent options that will fill so much of your time while still allowing you to get your fix! Organize your interests by categories, or delve fully into their original options!
Key Collector Comics
Unlike a lot of the other apps on this list, there isn’t a way to read comics through this site, but we wanted to showcase this application due to the fact of it’s help in keeping track of your comic books, as well as letting you know about the value of your comics.
