As part of Sideshow Collectibles Spooktacular, which takes place from October 26 through October 31, they have been anouncing some pretty awesome stuff. One such announcment however was the partnership with Studiocanal for their amazing sequel film Evil Dead 2. This film is one of the most loved films within the Evil Dead franchise.
The first film, founded by dentists in Michigan, was a serious attempt at horror in an indie world. While the producers were flummoxed, and asked Sam Raimi that they thought he was making a horror film. The second film, Dead By Dawn, the film was reset and almost retold in the first five minutes. Sam Raimi finds his style and the movie becomes a mixture of horror and comedy! This creates such an amazing experience, and probably why the franchise has become a cult classic!
Now Sideshow, who has partnerships with Marvel, DC, and Star Wars, as well as limited-edition statues inspired by The Crow, The Big Lebowski, The Lost Boys, and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, is going to be releasing products inspired by the influential horror-comedy classic.
