A slice of Americana that feels like it was drawn directly from Norman Rockwell as a convention draws a group of people to a Junior Stargazer event. However, when a visitor from an outside world crashes the event, the attendees are stuck in till it gets resolved.

If you like the humor and style of Wes Anderson, then this film will be enjoyable. However the artistic style seems more like a mix of Fantastic Mr. Fox meets The Royal Tenenbaums.


The Blackening – Releasing in Theaters

When the group of black friends take a Juneteenth getaway to a remote cabin, they find themselves victims to a twisted killer. Who will die first?

Part comedy, party horror, this movie plays with the tropes of horror movies, and touches base with the concept of black people dying first in horror movies.


Elemental – Releasing in Theaters
Rotten Tomatoes Reviewer Score – 63%

Set within a world in which elements live together, Ember, voiced by Leah Lewis, is a young fierce woman. However, when Wade, voiced by Mamoudou Athie, is a water elemental who challenges her beliefs about the world.

If you are looking for a family friendly film in this movie, then this one will work well for a filler. It’s not the best Disney/Pixar film, but it’s definitely a good place holder for family-friendly content.


The Flash – Releasing in Theaters

Barry Allen decides that he can change the world, and fix the wrongs of his life. So he goes back in time and saves his mother’s life. However, in doing so, he changed the world drastically. Now he has to deal with the fallout in a world he broke.

A lot of people are likely fighting the interest to see this film due to the antics of Ezra Miller, and a lot of people can’t wait to see Michael Keaton return to the franchise. It’s definitely a hard factor for fans of the DC films. However if you do or don’t watch it, we completely understand.


J-Hope in the Box – Releasing in Limited Theaters

For the 10th anniversary of BTS, this film is a solo documentary talking about j-hope, the first Korean musician to headline the world’s largest music festival, “Lollapalooza” in Chicago. Then the film focuses on j-hope’s first official solo album.

If you are a fan of BTS, Korean music, and are a fan of j-hope, then this is a great way for you to get a look on the inside of j-hope’s world.
