Agent Recon – Releasing on Streaming

When alien technology sets off an energy disturbance, a covert military task force is assembled to investigate. However, when they find an alien that can control an army of warriors, they may have bit off more than they can handle.

It’s interesting to see this Chuck Norris film, while Norris has had several military covert teams takes on blank. The main difference is that he is a robot in this one, and it’s sci-fi. It’s an interesting one if you are so inclined to see it.

The Bikeriders – Releasing in Theaters
Rotten Tomatoes Reviewer Score – 84%

A new love between Kathy, played by Jodie Comer, and Benny, played by Austin Butler, forces a recent member to the Vandals to choose between his gang’s journey toward crime and violence, or a more peaceful life with Kathy.

Set within a slightly earlier time, this film looks into a bad boy being forced to make a choice between love and evil. It’s a tried-and-true formula.

The Exorcism – Releasing in Limited Theaters

Anthony Miller, played by Russell Crowe, is an actor who has had problems with addiction in the past, but when he starts to unravel on the set of a supernatural horror film, people think he’s fallen into old vices, but the issue is more sinister than that.

If you like a thriller with real life issues, but theatrical mysticism that tugs at the narrative, then this film is a good fit for you. Additionally, it’s nice to see Crowe acting once again.

For Prophet – Releasing in Limited Theaters
Rotten Tomatoes Reviewer Score – (None Available Yet)

An entrepreneur, played by Ben Marten, is struggling, but when he gets informed by an angel that he will be a part-time profit, he sees it as a tool to save his hometown. The battle is not without struggle though as he has to deal with his city’s corruption, and his own demon whispering negatives on him. Can he survive this quest or will it question his faith in the end.

I’m not a direct fan of faith-based films, but the story is available for those that do like films that champion religion being the basis of building up and saving people from depression, financial harships, and governmental corruption.

She Rises Up – Releasing in Limited Theaters

A documentary set in Peru, Senegal, and Sri Lanka, as three women lift their community out of poverty by hard work, and fighting against the odds, no matter the difficulty.

It covers a mini market, a cosmetics manufacturer, and a textile company. All female led, all building up their home communities. That’s more of what the world needs right now.
