After a falling out in high society, William, played by Michael Stahl-David, reconnects with his estranged father on a fishing trip. Now, years later after repairing his relationship in the business world, William, played again but by Michael Douglas, finds himself on the other side of the relationship with his own son. Can a fishing trip bridge the gap between them, as it did years before with his own father.

Told through two time periods, the story deals with the age old trope of Parental bonds between father and son, and reconnecting after failure to connect in the past. It’s an interesting view that it’s in remembering his forgiving and rekindling his relationship with his own father, that the main character tries to repair his relationship with his own child.

Nash, played by Scott Eastwood, is an ex-cult member who left his significant other in the cult and barely escaped. As the cult leader, played by Jamie Foxxm becomes more and more of a threat to the US government. They seek out the ex-cult member to go back inside the organization and take out the leader, and gives him his only option to save his loved one.

This looks like a very interesting film that would be good for anyone that likes an action story, with thriller mixed in. Jamie Foxx seems to do a really good job as the cult leader and villain of the story. As long as you don’t have any stressors as a result of being in a cult, or having escape one, then this should be a good watch.
