What was supposed to be a simple rideshare, with Jaq and Shane, played by Hayden Panettiere and Tyler James Williams, changes when an Amber Alert informs them that the car in front of them has kidnapped a child. Now they race to follow the car, before the unthinkable happens.

Who hasn’t looked around on the freeway when they got an amber alert, that’s the point of it. But what would you do if you found the car? Would you call the police, follow it, or do whatever it takes, this film can help you process your thoughts about it.

Lenore is overweight, and so is her friend, but when the friend discovers Lenore’s clothing designs, it begins to drag the two into the spotlight and help them make friends and enemies. However, while her father, played by Rainn Wilson, is supportive, her mother, played by Missie Pyle, only showcases insecurities that holds her back.

If you’ve ever struggled with yourself and self-image, then this film will connect with you on that level. Hopefully you can find some peace and self-love through Lenore’s journey.

Lee Miller, played by Kate Winslet, is an American war correspondent and photographer. Miller’s work has created some of the most iconic images of war. However, this film doesn’t just cover Miller’s successes, but also showcases Miller’s pursuit of truth that forces her to confront her own dark and traumatic childhood.

This is the directorial feature of Ellen Kuras, who before was an award-winning Cinematographer in her own right. So with that in mind, you know the film will at least look impressive, while it hasn’t gotten the best of reviews so far, it’s still a powerful journey.

One of the most destructive things in life is the introduction of a child into a structured life. However, one of the most life affirming things, is the joy brought by having the love of a child.


The Wild Robot – Releasing in Theaters

When a robot designed to make people’s life easier gets shipwrecked on an uninhabited island, they will have to deal with the danger of the wild, while also building a relationship with the creature and animals on the island.

This is an adorable journey that plays with the consumer needs and techniques of society and discusses what happens when one of the trappings of that world is trust into a wild world.
