Movies For The Week Of February 3, 2023

80 For Brady – Releasing in Theaters
Rotten Tomatoes Reviewer Score – (None Available Yet)

Based on a real group of best friends as they make their way to Super Bowl LI in 2017 to see Tom Brady Play.

I’ll admit this sounds like a horrible premise for a movie, but with the likes and talent of Lily Tomlin, Jane Fonda, Rita Moreno, and Sally Field I have to have some faith that this movie will properly use their pool of skills to produce a great film.

The Amazing Maurice – Releasing in Theaters
Rotten Tomatoes Reviewer Score – 74%

Maurice, voiced by Hugh Laurie, is a street cat who scams a group of rats, however when he meets a bookworm, voiced by Emilia Clarke, his con goes sideways.

This looks like a cute PG story by Terry Pratchett, and it’s testing petty well for a kid’s film. If you are looking for something to enjoy with your little ones, then this might be it.

Congratulations – Releasing in Theaters
Rotten Tomatoes Reviewer Score – (None Available Yet)

Aditya, played by Sharman Joshi, falls in love with and marries his college girlfriend but after a couple tragedies it’s revealed that she cannot conceive. Will Aditya bare a child for his wife, or is this to much to ask?

This is a foreign film for sure, but if you are willing to endure, or like foreign films, then this looks like a slightly updated view on the movie Junior.

Full Time – Releasing in Theaters
Rotten Tomatoes Reviewer Score – 100%

Julie, played by Laure Calamy, is a single mother raising two children. She struggles to make time for work and her family, but when the transit strike hits the train systems, Julie is pushed to rely on every tool in her arsenol and break traditional norms to make ends meet.

This is the tragedy that so many families have to face on a regular basis. Work and family is a tough balancing act.

Knock At The Cabin – Releasing in Theaters
Rotten Tomatoes Reviewer Score – (None Available Yet)

What starts off as a vacationing in a remote cabin takes a turn when a family is taken hostage by four strangers who believe the world is about to end. Their visions tell them that the only way to avert the apocalypse is with willing sacrifices.

Based on the book The Cabin at the End of the World, this story hopefully doesn’t completely mirror the book because that story is incredibly sad and tragic, and I don’t know if I can watch that to be honest.
