PBS AMERICAN PORTRAIT is a series of content to celebrate the anniversary of PBS’s 50th year. The next one, however, is covering a topic that will hit very close to home.
It’s been hard for most Americans in these last few months, as we have suffered, isolated, and endured the current Coronavirus Pandemic. This is why PBS wanted to show how families have endured the losses and survived in spite of the hardships.
With the help of crowdsourced storytelling, all with one simple prompt, “I never expected…” From all of those stories, they have been able to gain information about how families have worked together, while being forced, for safety, to stay apart.
