Princess Cruises brand new cruise ship, the Star Princess has hit a major milestone over the weekend! This ship completed its first transit through the Panama Canal.
People on the ship were treatred to a front-row look of the amazing lock system of the Panama Canal and it’s system designed to allow ships through this breathtaking scenery and historic crossing site. For cruise enjoyers, the Panama Canal transit is a bucket list journey. During the journey, the Star Princess also enjoyed a special programming designed to give commentary and significance for the journey.
In the past Princess Cruises regularly scheduled Panama Canal cruising since 1967, and become the first cruise line to transit the waterway.
The upcoming 2026-2027 season features six Princess ships, sailing on 31 departures, nine itineraries and takes off from locations like Fort Lauderdale, Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, and Vancouver.
