The new Fast and the Furious themed roller coaster ride at Universal Studios Hollywood has finally released it’s name, “Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift”. This new ride will use technology never before installed in a roller coaster!
The track system will host a brand new 360-degree rotation system along with a state of the art sound reduction technology to prevent the actual operation and mechanical features of the roller coaster from sounding like a roller coaster, that way the creators can control the sounds and sensations the riders will feel. All combined, the experience will allow the riders of the experience to have the seemless sensation of actually drifting at furiously fast speeds!
Why did Universal choose the Fast & Furious film saga for their newest ride at the park? On top of the fact that Universal Studios has already created several experiences for the franchise within it’s groundbreaking studio tour prior, the Fast & Furios series of films has spanned over twenty years, earned more than $7 billion at the box office, and has ammassed one of the largest and enduring fan bases of any IP film project in modern day!
Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift will be located on the Upper Lot of Universal Studios Hollywood where the prior two stage shows rested, and will quickly and intensely take the riders down to the lower lot of the theme park, and then return them to the upper lot.
