    Spotlight on Sprigatito!

Being an extremely new entry into the Pokedex, there isn’t a massive amount of info out there compared to some Starters from earlier generations. And hey – aren’t we jumping the gun, here? We got done with generation 7s Starter trio back in August, right, so you’d think this particular Community Day, if it was going to be a Starter, would be Grookey from generation 8! Are we just forgetting that Galar exists? Especially being as the new Power Spot Dynamax and Gigantamax mechanics have been so heavily featured, recently. You would expect Shiny Gigantimax Rillaboom to be drumming its way into the new year! But, oh well… we get what we get, I guess.

The only information the Pokedex offers is that its fur is plant-like in composition, so, while grooming itself it’s also keeping those leafy hairs moist. It has a pleasing smell that intensifies under the sun as well.

Floragato has the capability to change the texture of its fur based on its temper; the more upset it gets, the harder and stiffer its fur gets till it’s almost spines. It hides a long vine under the fur that’s tipped with a flower that it uses for bludgeoning foes.

Meowscarada is a magician themed cat that uses the reflective coating on the inner side of its cape to dazzle and misdirect. While it’s keeping your attention elsewhere, it can either hit you with pollen bombs or scratch you up with those claws!

But can it dazzle and misdirect its foes in Pokemon GO?

With a Max CP of 3193, Attack of 233, Defense of 153 and Stamina of 183, it can do some okay damage but will be walloped soundly before too much time elapses. It’s a Grass and Dark Type combo, meaning it takes extra damage from Bug Type moves and has standard weaknesses to Fire, Fighting, Ice, Poison, Flying and Fairy Type moves. It has a special resistance to Psychic Type moves, of course, with regular resistances to Dark, Ghost, Electric, Grass, Water and Ground.

Your moves are Charm and Leafage for Fast Attacks. Leafage is STAB, of course. Your Charged moves are Play Rough, Night Slash, Grass Knot and Energy Ball. The latter three of these are STAB. The Community Day moves are, of course, going to do a lot better for you than any of these options.

Shiny Sprigatito is a very slightly different shade of green with purple eyes rather than pink. Difficult to spot, honestly, so you’re going to want to be careful and paying attention while shiny checking these kitties!

That’s all I’ve got for you this time, Trainers! I wish you the best of luck, as always!
