Thursday, September 26th, 2024 marks the 90th anniversary of the Queen Mary which was built in 1934. With it’s anniversary in mind the boat is hosting a 90th anniversary celebration which includes complimentary ship admission, parking $10. Starting on 5:30 P.M. through 6:30 P.M. the Commodore Everette Hoard will present a reproduction of the Queen’s Royal Standard in the main hall which is hand painted and hand sewn.
The original royal standard was presented to the ship by the Queen before the ship originally set sail. After the reveal, ticket holders, for a price, can attend Alex Mendham and his orchestra’s performance in the Queen Salon.
Alex Mendham and his Orchestra will combine jazz and swing music as attendees will be able to dance through the night under the art deco era design of the ship. Purchase your tickets to Alex Mendham’s performance Here for $45.
Looking for other ways to connect with the ship? Other ongoing activations and experiences on the boat include The Grey Ghost Project, see our coverage of the experience Here and 57 Ghosts, see our coverage of the experience Here.
Every Sunday this month they also will be hosting Royal Sunday Brunch with Live Music, Tuesday performances of Ashley Anne & the Carnations. Wednesday Karaoke at the OB, Thursday night KJazz & Blues.
But don’t forget our favorite experience until October ends, Dark Harbor!
See you on the Queen Mary!
