We Stopped By The Grey Ghost Project On Queen Mary

We love returning to the Queen Mary, every chance we get. Over the years they have hosted a series of ghost hunting tours, and regular tours throughout the boat. Prior to COVID we never got the chance to take a ghost tour of the boat, and since then and the discovery of the damage to the boat, a lot of the sections of the ship are out of bounds for some in attendance.

Prior to COVID and the boat shutdown Rebecca Knight, an expert paranormal researcher, was lucky enough to take up residency, and was even able to investigate the site during the closure. As a result she has picked 3-4 locations on the boat that depending on scheduling Rebecca takes you through and allows you to interact with.

Rebecca’s tour and experience is part history lesson, part tour, and part ghost hunt. She brings with her a luggage bag full of tools and devices that she hands over to the group of the experience to handle, and manage as they go from location to location. Tools that she can ask the spirits to interact with as you travel throughout the boat.

Due to schedule, we were able to stop at all four locations, which is not normal of course. We visited the Winston Churchill Suite, Room A330, First Class Swimming Pool, and the Rope Room in the bow of the ship, just past where Illusions of the Passed used to take place.

On top of tools and spooky locations the experience puts the ghost hunting directly in the hands of attendees. Rebecca Knight guides guests through the Estes Method, where the attendees will put on black out masks on a pair who will then use soundproof headphones to isolate themselves from the rest of the group. During this time the pair will listen for noises out of the radio waves, and the remaining guests will ask questions for the isolated pair to potentially respond to.

At the end of the experience, they inform you that they will, with time, send you a video for your experience, but you leave the boat having a new respect for the ship, with some fun experiences, and a new understanding of realistic ghost hunting.

The experience runs on select nights Friday through Sunday and Tickets are $125 per person. For a complete schedule and to reserve your tickets head Here!
