Themed around iconic movies, Universal Mega Movie Summer is an all-new seasonal event. The event will Debuting Friday, June 13, 2025 and continuing daily through Sunday, August 10, 2025.
The Universal Mega Movie Summer will give visitors to the park new ways to “beat the heat,” “hang with friends” and “party in the park.”
If you missed out on the fun and joy of the 40th anniversary of Back to the Future during Fan Fest Nights, the Time Machine will be possitioned in the upper lot next to Mel’s Diner. At Mel’s Diner Doc Brown, Marty McFly, and Einstein the dog will meet and greet attendees while the diner will serve up the delicious food and drinks from the Fan Fest Night menu!
For the 50th Golden Anniversary of Jaws the movie, Universal Studios Hollywood is bringing back it’s iconic hanging shark, bring brand new meet and greets with Captain Quint and Chief Brody, and the recently renovated Studio Tour Jaws experience will be running all summer long.
Hollywood & Dine will also become Amity Island Cafe, serving up a new menu which will include Lobster Rolls, Vegan Crab Cake Sandwichs, Fish and Chips, Fish and Chicken Baskets, Shark Bait Burgers, Shark Fin Funnel Cakes, Amity Island Parfaits and the Amity Beach Lifesaver Donut. Excited for Jurassic World Rebirth opening in theaters on July 2? Take a run through Jurassic World—The Ride which will features the new Mosasaurus with a splash! Additionally there will be four new Spitter dinosaurs, water geysers, and outside the ride park guests can meet Blue the Velociraptor, Juliet the Triceratops, and Baby Tango. Thanks to the new movie though, there will also be an all-new character, a Spinosaurus dinosaur! You can even engage in a scavenger hunt game featuring Compy!
Lastly the Jurassic Cafe will serve new food and new cocktails, like the Jurassic Water Rebirth and Spicy Jurassic Pearadise.
Of course, as almost all of the amazing events at Universal Studios Hollywood, the new treats and food come from the mind of their Executive Chef Julia Thrash. The park will also have all-new exclusive merchandise, including apparel and toys, themed around the Universal Mega Movie Summer offerings.
