NTOLA: Queen Mary’s Dark Harbor 2025 Review

We stopped over to The Queen Mary for Dark Harbor, While the convention returned, it’s marred unfortunately by the destruction of the Village that used to surround the boat. The village was broken down and falling apart, and while it was something that had to happen, it cost the area a lot of it’s iconic design which really aided the Dark Harbor experience.

This year however, they had to make all of the experiences and fronts themselves, unable to utilize the existing structures.

On top of the amazing mazes, the experience features live entertainment stages, hidden and public bars, sideshows, DJs, Carnival-esc rides, axe throwing, and this year mini-escape rooms!

Speaking of Mazes, let’s break them down for you.

There are a total of 6 mazes. Voodoo: The Queen’s Curse, Lullaby, Infirmary, Feast: The Final Cut, Big Top Terror, and Breakout: Maximum Security.

  • Voodoo: The Queen’s Curse while the area outside the boat last year seemed to have a bayou feel to it, this year they leaned even further into it, and bring with it the story of a Voodoo Queen that has taken residence in the boat, and are raising the dead who inhabited the vessel, and it’s victims including pirates. Now, they’ve come for Long Beach!
  • Lullaby returning this year and focusing on the urban legend of Scary Mary, who drowned in the First-Class swimming pool. This maze takes the attendees to the depths of the Queen Mary to visit the first-class swimming pool. It’s here at this pool that the playful, yet sinister Scary Mary will accost and guide them toward a watery grave.
  • Infirmary returning again for another year as Dr. Edwin Master and his wife Graceful Gale, has taken over the third-class passenger quarters and corridors to engage on his dasterdly surgeries. While those in the First-Class are dazzled by operating theater performances, the gore and organs of his patients are strewn around.
The third-class passengers and patients are just as much a threat as they build up their strength to overthrow the maniacs who pray on them.
  • Feast: The Final Cut returning for another, and supposedly final chapter of the Chef’s story. The Chef who started as a butcher on the ship, became the Head Chef, and tires of ungrateful First-Class Passengers who could not appreciate his precious cuts of meat. Now the maze ends with an even more horrific and cannableistic To resolve this matter he begins to broaden his horizons as to his cuts of meat.
Are you going to just be passing through, or will you get a more intimate look at the chef’s butchery?
  • Big Top Terror is at the heart of the Dark Harbor off boat experiences. Set amongst the carnival rides of the experience, this dark big top brings with it The Ringmaster who lures those into his dark maze of cursed items and monsters such as the Pumpkin Carver. Are you able to survive the horrors and the Ringmaster’s henchmen?
  • Breakout: Maximum Security Once again continuing the story. Having been dragged off the boat and his room of B340, Samuel the Savage is locked up in a maximum security prison, along with you! Can you find your way through and survive all those that would attack and claim you!
  • It was a lot of fun, the Queen Mary does a good job at building amazing mazes, entertainment, and selecting food and drinks for their events. I highly recommend that you head over to their site and pick up some tickets now, while they are still available.
