Norwegian Cruise Line Reveals Grand Opening Date For Great Tides Waterpark!

Norwegian Cruise Line’s new highly-anticipated waterpark, Great Tides Waterpark, will be opening on September 4, 2026 on Great Stirrup Cay.

Great Stirrup Cay is Norwegian Cruise Line’s private island in the Bahamas. All guests sailing to Great Stirrup Cay on or after September 4, 2026 can purchase day passes for the Great Tides Waterpark with advanced bookings, and can even include the ability to reserve private cabanas for up to six guests just steps from the park’s signature Tidal Tower.

The waterpark will spans nearly six acres, bringing a family-friendly adventure for all ages. The park will also include 19 exhilarating slides, and three all-new food trucks serving the waterpark.

The 170-foot Tidal Tower: This experience will feature the Breakwater Blasters, an industry first water coaster with downhill drops and uphill blasts within an inner tube.

Tropic Storm and Tropic Spiral: A selection of tube slides, with spirals and spins for an adrenaline rush.

The Wandering River: An over 800-foot, high-energy take on the classic lazy river.

Fearless Falls Racing Slides: A slide where you can race your friends.

Cliffside Cove: Home to the industry’s first and highest cliff jumps.

Vibe Shore Club: An adults-only location away from all the children.

The hidden Grotto Bar: Tucked beneath the action for prime viewing.

Splash Cay: A 9,000-square-foot kids’ zone for younger guests.

The Great Slide: The Caribbean’s only four-person body slide.

The Great Life Lagoon: A laid-back lagoon experiences

The Whitewater Dash: Two body slides.

The Rapid Mat Racers: Two mat slides.

The grand opening of the waterpark will occur in August, and guests of Norwegian Luna’s seven-day Caribbean cruise, sailing from Miami, on August 29, 2026 can take advantage of it while also visiting Puerto Plata, St. Thomas, Tortola, as well as Great Stirrup Cay. The Great Stirrup Cay will be available year-round, and accessable on journeys sailing from New York, Philadelphia, and Florida ports!
