Themed around iconic movies, Universal Mega Movie Summer is returning once again for 2026. The event will be debuting June 13, 2026 and continuing daily through August 9, 2026.
This year Mega Movie Summer will feature blockbuster entertainment inspired by Illumination’s Minions & Monsters, Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, Fast & Furious, and Wicked!
Experiences Available at the Park:
Fast & Furious Saga – On top of the display of authentic picture cars from the films, for the 25th anniversary the park will bring in a hip-hop performance by the Street Racers dance show. They will even have a daily DJ to pump up the energy while fans await the opening of “Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift” this summer.
The Odyssey – One of the original ships featured in the film will be on display during the Studio Tour. Footage and filmmaker interviews from the film will play on the tram monitors as well. At Citywalk Hollywood, an impressive 34-foot-tall Trojan Horse will appear for a limited-time, beginning in July, in front of the Universal Cinema AMC. The Odyssey can be seen in theatres starting on July 17, 2026!
Illumination’s Minions & Monsters – Meet the film’s all-new Minions stars, Henry and James, in the park’s Super Silly Fun Land near the “Despicable Me Minion Mayhem,” experience. Don’t forget to check out the experience’s interactive and energetic Minion Dance Party. Minions & Monsters can be seen in theatres starting on July 1, 2026!
Wicked – If you are a fan of Wicked, then you’ll be excited to see the return of the film’s spellbinding characters, Elphaba and Glinda while at the park, located near the DreamWorks Theatre. If you want to watch Wicked and Wicked: For Good, you can see them currently on Peacock.
Merch Available at the Park:
Fast & Furious Saga – New merchandise celebrating the anniversary will be available at the 101 Exchange store, located adjacent to “Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift.”
Minions & Monsters – Exclusive Minions & Monsters-themed merchandise collection will be available for purchase, including an all-new Shoulder Pal themed to the new monster from the film, Goomi. Additionally there will be blind box figures, apparel, accessories and more!
Wicked – A selection of Wicked parks exclusive merchandise will also be available for purchase, including Spirit Jerseys, plushes and more.
Food Available at the Park:
Fast & Furious Saga – Hollywood & Dine transforms into Drift & Dine, and will offer Fast & Furious–themed food including: L.A. Drift Dog, BBQ Chicken Platter, Fried Elote Corn Dog, BBQ Corn Ribs, Quarter Mile Funnel Cake, and Street Cart Watermelon and Pineapple. Additionally, the Cocina Mexicana restaurant, adjacent to “Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift,” will offer a shareable La Familia Meal. NBC Sports Grill & Brew will also bring Fast & Furious items including: the Full Throttle Teriyaki Burger, Drift Tandem Skewers, Car Meet Platter, and a refreshing new cocktail, the Nitrous Boost. Antojitos Cocina Mexicana will also bring a new Birria Burger and La Familia Platter.
Minions & Monsters – The Minions Cafe will serve an array of vibrant new treats, including Howard’s Berry Lemonade Cupcake and James’ Carbonara, a cavatappi pasta tossed in a garlic cream sauce with pancetta and peas. Despicable Delights will offer Irene’s Orange Banana Float, a new delectable frozen beverage. Voodoo Doughnut will bring themed doughnuts including: the Banana Cream Mayhem Doughnut and the Minions & Monsters Mischief Doughnut.
Jaws – Jaws will also take over the Mel’s Diner and serve up returning favorites from the prior year including: the Shark Bait Burger, Lobster Roll, Fish & Chicken Basket, and Amity Island Funnel Cake. Studio Scoops, located on the lower lot, will debut a Hello Kitty & Jaws themed Blueberry Cheesecake Sundae. Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville is also bringing Jaws-themed items including: the Beachside Melt and the Forbidden Waters cocktail.
