Holland America is introducing year-round cruising in Europe, which is expanding its presence in the region for 2027-2028 season sailing, now adding winter options!
Their ship Nieuw Statendam will remain in Europe year-round, giving even more opportunities throughout the year, and allowing people to experience the region beyond traditional summer travel. To meet the needs they will even add two additional voyages aboard Zuiderdam.
This expansion will add a dozen cruises across the Mediterranean and Northern Europe. The new itineraries will add more than 70 additional port days year-round! This is a great option for someone looking to experience the areas with fewer crowds.
The itineraries included for the Winter/Spring 2027–2028 are:
November 20, 2027: 15-Day Western Mediterranean Cruise covering Lisbon, Cadiz, Barcelona, Valencia, Cartagena, Gibraltar, and Dover onboard the Nieuw Statendam.
December 5, 2027: 13-Day Baltic & Scandinavian Christmas Markets Cruise covering Stockholm Archipelago, Kiel, Tallinn, Helsinki, Stockholm, Copenhagen, and Dover onboard the Nieuw Statendam.
December 18, 2027: 15-Day Baltic & Scandinavian Christmas Market Holiday Cruise covering Elbe River, Hamburg, Aarhus, Copenhagen, Oslo, Kristiansand, Bergen, Stavanger, and Hardangerfjord onboard the Nieuw Statendam.
January 2, 2028: 14-Day Canary Island Enchantment Cruise covering Casablanca, Agadir, Puerto Rosario, Las Palmas, Santa Cruz de La Palma, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Cadiz, and Malaga onboard the Nieuw Statendam.
