A new chapter in the franchise of Evil Dead. After losing her husband, Alice, played by Souheila Yacoub, seeks solace with her in-laws in a secluded family home. When one of them is transformed into a Deadite, her deceased husband returns to test her resolve.
If you are a fan of Evil Dead, while this isn’t directed by Sam Raimi, it still is produced by him and Robert Tappert. I personally love that we get to have a serious version of this series, and the over the top world of Ashley J. Williams.
Gail Daughtry and the Celebrity Sex Pass

Gail Daughtry, played by Zoey Deutch, is a small town hairdresser who is engaged to her devoted high school sweetheart. However, when her fiance meets and sleeps with his “celebrity pass” it leaves Gail feeling betrayed. As such, Gail joins her friend on a trip to Los Angeles, where she tries to meet her “celebrity pass” Jon Hamm to save her relationship.
This is a film created by commedian David Wain, and frankly I’ve loved all of his movies so far. If you are looking for a quick comedy, this is going to be a good watch.
Night Nurse

After a series of perverse scam calls causes strife and confusion in a regularly calm retirement community, a nurse, played by Cemre Paksoy, begins to become intrigued and entangled with one of the patients of the community.
An interesting take, that unfortunately isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. This is a much more adult film, then others releasing this week.
Moana

The live-action retelling of Disney’s Moana, in which Moana, played by Catherine Laga’aia, must seek out Maui, played by Dwayne Johnson, to save the world by returning the heart of Te Fiti.
One of the things I’m actually really excited for is a brand new song sung not only by Catherine Laga’aia, but also the original voice actress for Moana, Auli’i Cravalho. That being said, this is a wonderful film, and I will watch it again in live-action, even still.
Sunset Strip Killers

Carol, played by Susan Priver, is a lonely nurse in 1980s Los Angeles. However, when she falls for Doug Clark, played by Max E. Williams, she finds herself pulled into a world of murder, blood, and obsession.
This film is based on a true story, and asks the question, how much of Carol’s actions are defendable, and how much of is is complicity in the acts.
