We Stopped By The Devil’s Quarter At The Obscure For Halloween

Halloween is not just a holiday for children, none of this is made more clear than by The Obscure’s limited time event happening on Fridays and Saturdays through October.

This new and interesting event not only is themed with spooky stories matched to cocktail pairings, but also includes a brand new collection of spirits, as well as cocktails paired with them.

The spirits that we were able to sample while at the experience are:

  • Ignition Rum – a 66% ABV rum that is paired nicely into a light tropical cocktail.
  • Last Days Night Nocino – a late harvest Walnut liqueur that was our favorite of the evening, served on crushed ice and reminded us a lot like a boozy horchata.
  • Oak Matured Four Thieves Gin – this smokey version of their traditional gin has a unique and new flavor that they used in an old fashion that will quickly become your new favorite.
  • On top of the six pores listed on the events website, they also included an additional welcome drink, a final tiki inspired drink, and the opportunity to purchase additional drinks if you’d want. At the Fibonacci bar, normally only open to members of the Obscure.

Almost all of the spirits used at the event are available for purchase in the Fibonacci bar at the end of the experience, and purchase of a bottle includes a year membership to The Obscure’s speakeasy.

If you’d like to schedule your journey to the Devil’s quarter, you can do so Here, but be wary, this event ends when October is over.
