.Simstechnology Brings Safety From Surprise

Trying to feel safe when out and about. Over half the population, women, don’t feel safe when out in public. The world should be a place for everyone, and one company .simstechnology is aiming to help solve that problem.

This Rhode Island startup has created a patented device that scans and senses when people approach the user from behind. While devices exist that capture footage, rarely do they do that and also find a way to alert the user, and never in real-time.

This new device from .simstechnology aims to protect users from being caught off guard from a would-be attacker. The device rests on the back of the user and uses light-sensitivity and high-frame-rate to capture continuous photos. The device also uses AI to notice a person approaching and then alert the user via their smartphone and/or watch.

The user can then can choose to clear the threat or initiate SOS to notify emergency contacts and share a picture of the person and location of the user.

While the annual subscription costs $79 the company says that they will waive that charge for people who pre-order the device.

Now people who are normally victims can feel safe once again, with a larger awareness to the things around them, and the knowledge that they won’t be caught off-guard.
