Elektra Natchios was a charactor created by Frank Miller in the 1981 comic book Daredevil #168. The character herself was originally a character from Matt Murdocks past, who could serve as an ally of equal talent, a potential love interest, and sometimes even a villain and adversary if the story demands it. Through the comic books she would be supportive, but her violent tendancies and choice of career caused non-stop conflict between them. Later in the comics however, she did take on the mantle of Daredevil.
Her popularity in the comics have also seen her break out of the Daredevil, and her own, stories to also team up with other groups and characters, including being a member of the Thunderbolts at one time.
While her first run in the comic books only lasted 13 comic books, and a little over a year in publications, her eventual return to the world of comics was all but inevitable. This is in part how interesting of a character she can easily become, and the direct connection to the blossoming Bad Girl trend that spread through the 90s.
We have always found the character interesting, and even have liked every portrayal of her outside of the comic books in the past. With that in mind, and in celebration of her anniversary, we wanted to share our favorite appearances of her in the comic books.

Daredevil #181 (1982) This is the comic book where Elektra Natchios is killed by Bullseye. While it’s not specifically Elektra’s story after that, her character was so important for Daredevil, that the impact of this death caused a narrative change in the title character, and shifted the world of the series. |

Elektra Lives Again #1 (1990) 8 years since the death of the title character within the story of Daredevil, and even though she died in his arms, Daredevil keeps seeing premonitions that Elektra is no longer dead, and worse, active once again as the world’s top assassin-for-hire. |
