New Comic Highlights for September 2022

There are a lot of comic books coming out next month, and the last Comics Round Up of the month is dedicated to what is coming out the following month. So here are some of the comics I am looking forward to, that are coming out next coming month!

DC Saved By The Belle Reve #1 (from DC Comics)
Releasing August 30th, 2022
Eight tales that takes the Suicide Squad and sets them in a different light. This light hearted version of the stories are fun, pop themed, and a bunch of excitement as a group of writers and artists get to take their turn at the world of DC. Due to the nature of the mutliple story nature of this book, it’s written by many people including Peter J. Tomasi, Brandon Thomas, Becky Cloonan, Tim Seeley, Franco Aureliani, Brenden Fletcher, Dave Wielgosz, Dan Watters, Andrew Aydin, and Art Baltazar.

Firefly: 20th Anniversary Special #1 (from BOOM! Studios)
Releasing August 31st, 2022
For the anniversary we are treated to two different stories set in the past and future of the Serenity. Created by Jorge Corona and Josh Gordon with art from Jordi Perez and Fabiana Mascolo.

Star Trek: Lower Decks #1 (from IDW Publishing)
Releasing September 14th, 2022
Do you love the fun off the wall excitement of Lower Decks on Paramount+? Now it enters the pages of a comic book and you are invited to rejoin the crew once more! Created by Ryan North with art from Chris Fenoglio.

Creepshow #1 (from Skybound Comics)
Releasing September 21st, 2022
The debut issue for the return for Creepshow. There are multiple stories, and each following Creepshow comic will offer unique standalone stories and scares. Created by Paul Dini, Steve Langford, and Chris Burnham with art from John McCrea and Chris Burnham.

Batman: The Audio Adventures #1 (from DC Comics)
Releasing September 27th, 2022
Were you a fan of the Batman: The Audio Adventures podcast? Well now the story continues on in comic book form, back to the originals! Created by Dennis McNicholas with art from J. Bone and Anthony Marques.
