Movies For The Week Of April 18, 2025

All the Lost Ones – Releasing in Limited Theaters
Rotten Tomatoes Reviewer Score – (None Available Yet)

A couple flees to a remote cabin, played by Jasmine Mathews and Devon Sawa, as they deal with the dystopian world ravaged by civil war and climate disasters. However, when their resources and lives become the interest of a rebel militia, they will have to fight to survive.

Might feel a bit close to home right now, but if you are interested by dystopian future films, then this one clicks a lot of possible outcome boxes.

Dogma: The Resurrection Tour – Releasing in Theaters
Rotten Tomatoes Reviewer Score – 68%

Two fallen angels, Bartleby, played by Ben Affleck, and Loki, played by Matt Damon, were cast out of Heaven after the great angelic war. With a loophole to get back in on the horizon, they plan to take it, even if it costs the world. Now an unlikely hero, played by Linda Fiorentino, will enlist some angelic help, and not so angelic help to save all existence.

With Kevin Smith finally getting the rights back for this film, the movie is taking a tour and returning to theaters for its 25th Anniversary. If you missed it the first time, or if you want to see it again, now you can and not feel bad for giving money to monsters.

Sinners – Releasing in Theaters
Rotten Tomatoes Reviewer Score – 100%

While trying to put their past behind them, and move forward, two brothers, both played by Michael B. Jordan, discover that their hometown isn’t as safe as they believed, and may have bit off more than they can handle.

What could be better than Michael B. Jordan in a film? How about two Michael B. Jordan(s) in the film! In all seriousness, this drama/horror film is getting rave reviews and is directed by Ryan Coogler, so it has to be amazing.

Sneaks – Releasing in Theaters
Rotten Tomatoes Reviewer Score – (None Available Yet)

Ty, voiced by Anthony Mackie, is a designer sneaker who doesn’t venture far from his velvet-lined shoe box. When his sister, shoe pair, is stolen by a collector, Ty heads to New York to save her, making new friends, learning what it’s like to actually live life, and embarking on an adventure.

I have to be honest, I want this to be a good film, just because I would feel horrible for Anthony Mackie to make it so big, in his spotlight era, and have it been soiled by a horrible Animated Film he hates. Also, who steals one shoe??!

The Ugly Stepsister – Releasing in Limited Theaters
Rotten Tomatoes Reviewer Score – 98%

When your stepsister is beautiful, how can you compete? Elvira, played by Lea Myren, is the ugly stepsister, and with the prince’s attention at the heart of the game, she will stop at nothing to capture his eyes, even if it means chopping of a toe or two.

Yes, this is a Norwegian film, but they do horror comedy so well! Additionally, the original story of Cinderella is so dark, and has body mutilation, so this is actually a lot closer to the source material then the original cartoon film ever was!
