We Return To The Newly Reopened Queen Mary!

We were invited to Shaqtoberfest, for it’s second year no less, and when attending we decided it was time to finally return to one of our favorite Los Angeles attractions. That’s right, the Queen Mary!

The Queen Mary re-opened earlier this year and has been running for the public for only a couple months at this point.

While the whole boat isn’t open, several restaurants closed, the boat is tourable, on your own, or with a guided option.

It costs $24 a person to enter the boat, with no discount for those with reservations on restaurants. On that note, the restaurant that is open is the Chelsea Chowder House, which while re-opened, is not owned and operated by the same people. As such the whole menu is different. Currently reservations for Chelsea Chowder House is pretty books regularly. If you can’t get into the restaurant for a meal, there is always the Observation Bar that does a great job with drinks and appetizers.

If venturing through the boat for $24 a person seems steep, and you want to regularly visit the vessel, they do offer a $150 membership that grants you access to the boat all year round for it’s passholder.

In addition to the ability to explore, the boat has returned to a couple of the things they are well known for. That’s right hotel rooms, ghost hunting tours, and weddings.

What a wild combination!

If you’ve been missing the Queen Mary, now is the time to head back! Just make sure to book your reservation for dinner in advance.
