If you are looking to play Dungeons & Dragons, and you’ve lost your GM for the week, then you might want to consider Castle Ravenloft. This tile-laying, monster-fighting simplified version of D&D but with all the difficulty!
The game plays with one player, or up to 5, and has varying levels of difficulty. It’s cooperative, but that will only get you so far.
