Rants And Reviews: Jinxx

It’s Friday and that means it’s time once again to talk about Board Games for Rants & Review. This week we’re checking out Looney Labs’ Jinxx. This fun small profile game is fast, paced, strategic and definitely unique.

The game is designed to be played with two to four players and involves a 3×3 board. Each player has three large, three medium, and three small triangles. Players roll a dice to see what pieces they can place on the board or move around the board. The goal of the game is to have one of your colored triangles in every space of a row that cuts through the center of the board. As the game goes on though, other players will be placing their pieces either on top of yours or around you trying to achieve the same.

You can also take out your opponent by placing pawns of the same size on top of other player’s pieces, effectively destroying the opponent’s pawns, a secondary way to win the game. There are lots of ways to strategically play the game and the game is fun.
