It’s Friday, and that means it’s time to once again talk about a weekly board game! This time we are checking out Poetry For Neanderthals from Kitten Games.
A Couple weeks ago we actually reviewed Kitten Games’ My Parents Might Be Martians, you can actually see our video for that Here.
The dynamics of the game are pretty much identical except for the team balancing issues designed to make the game more kid-fun and kid-friendly. The most important part of this game, however, is that you are basically playing charades without hand gestures and only with the ability to use single syllable words.
The general idea being that you have to use very simple terms to explain a more conceptual idea or thing.
This game is of course a mini version of the full game, but with pretty much all the same dynamics. The main difference being there’s no timer, they ask you to use your phone, and instead of a full-size bat you get a mini “no” club that you can use to point out that a team has broken the rules.
Overall, it’s a pretty fun and basic game specifically designed to allow for large parties or small ones with rules designed for one-player as well as 3-player play.
This game is actually available at Five Below, but if you want to pick up another version of the game, you can do so Here!
