When it comes to your pets they can be a major boon upon your house, but odors are always a negative. Cats are a lot of fun to have, whether you have clingy cats or self sufficient furry balls of anger. One major drawback though is having to regularly clean out their catbox like you are their servant.
Neakasa, a company we’ve covered a lot at CES before has a new solution, their Open-Top automatic catbox named the M1. There are a lot of catboxes on the market and so many companies that try to make an automated version, but eventually most car owners return to the world of low tech boxes due to costs, functions, and your pets being spooked by the noises.
The Neakasa M1 unlike a lot of automated versions have an open top, that helps out people who have larger cats, or fur babies that don’t like to poop in enclosed spaces.
The device also uses a unique waste tray that seals to the bottom of the device preventing smells as it can collect up to two weeks full of waste without needing to be emptied! Another amazing feature of the catbox is the proprietary bags that lock into the tray and can allow the drawstring to be pulls tight and prevent bad smells. It reminds me a lot of a diaper genie.
For those with smaller kittens you can manually manage the cleaning process and the box even has an app to control and monitor it’s usage.
Our cat was hesitant at first, but quickly started using it for peeing only, then as he continued to use it and see how it cleaned itself, he fell in love and now uses the box exclusively!
