End of the Middle Ages Day History & Gift Ideas

When you think of the Middle Ages, what do you think of? Do you try to picture a world like Monty Python and the Holy Grail? Or do you try to compare it to a favorite video game like Assassin’s Creed or Dark Souls? Well, today happens to be End of the Middle Ages day! Let’s talk about it and how you can celebrate this occasion.

May 29, 1453 is considered by many historians to be the end of the Middle Ages, (and therefore the Beginning of the Renaissance), and because of this, some people decided it would be good to celebrate the End of the Middle Ages, and some even call it a good day to give gifts. Now, who these people are that say its a good day to give gifts? I have no idea. But anything that celebrates the ending of an era commonly known as the “Dark Ages,” which is known for a time of war, ignorance, famine and pandemics such as the Black Death, I guess is a good enough reason to celebrate.

If you are looking for a way to celebrate, here are a few ways with food that you can share with friends! And feel free to decorate with some Medieval party decorations!
