Movies and Videos On Demand For The Week Of February 10, 2023

Daughter – Releasing in Theaters and Streaming
Rotten Tomatoes Reviewer Score – (None Available Yet)

A young woman, played by Megan Le, is kidnapped and forced to play the role of a surrogate daughter. Can she make her way through this family, and find her way home, or is there something even darker on the horizon?

If you are looking for a dark thriller this week, this one seems to be a real interesting one! Casper Van Dien looks to play a very interesting and disturbing father figure within the film.

Magic Mike’s Last Dance – Releasing in Theaters
Rotten Tomatoes Reviewer Score – (None Available Yet)

Mike Lane, played by Channing Tatum, is forced to return to the world of the stage after a business deal leaves him broke. But can he still hold interest? One thing for sure, he has caught the eye of a wealthy socialite, played by Salma Hayek, who wants him to come to London to train a whole new team of dancers.

These movies are popcorn films. They don’t have to be groundbreaking, they are a fun voyage that takes people on a safe but fun journey through already charted waters. Like a pleasure cruise, but with Channing’s Tatum being shook around.

The Outwaters – Releasing in Theaters
Rotten Tomatoes Reviewer Score – 89%

Robbie Banfitch takes viewers on a thriller and horror journey as four travelers are taken mind breaking trip through the Mojave.

This movie, while not to new a concept apparently does a great job as conveying a dark tone and surprising viewers as Robbie Banfitch wrote, directed, produced, and stars in the film.

Seriously Red – Releasing in Theaters and Streaming
Rotten Tomatoes Reviewer Score – 44%

When Red, played by Krew Boylan, loses her job as a real estate agent it allows her to better follow her dream of being a Dolly Parton impersonator. However, when she catches the eyes of other impersonators and agents, Red is catapulted to fame which leads her on a journey to discover if being an imitator really brings her happiness.

This is an Australian film but looks very interesting and a little fun. If you are a fan of music, this film is full of a myriad of different styles as Faux Dolly performs throughout the film.

She Came From The Woods – Releasing in Theaters
Rotten Tomatoes Reviewer Score – 80%

With the last night of summer camp in 1987, a group of counselors attempt to blow off some steam, but when they unwittingly unleash a decades’ old evil, they’ll have to confront what secrets they’ll keep.

This is a comedy horror film, and frankly I have missed horror comedy. There are comedies that are horrors and horrors that are comedies, and there is funny horror. All of those are different. Even if they sound the same. This movie is more fun than it is scary as the spooky entity takes over children to do her bidding.
