See The New Holiday Season At Universal Studios Hollywood

The holidays are back at Universal Studios Hollywood. We rushed out to check out the experience and see what was added. Our visit coincided with Universal Studios Hollywood’s Passholder Takeover night which allowing the park to be open until 11:00 P.M. at night. Quite the experience for a Tuesday!

The holidays are back at the park with the plaza being transformed once again into the GrinchMas celebration. Spend time and take pictures with Max the dog, enjoy the playful ribbing of the Grinch, or just celebrate the holiday with all the Whos as they run around the area. You can write letters to Santa, enjoy festive food and drinks all day long at this cheery location. Every night the celebration concludes with a festive tree lighting celebration with a telling of the story of the Grinch followed by snow falling upon the denizens of the plaza.

Before the tree is lit and the snow falls in the plaza though, the Who-Bee Doo-Wops perform musical numbers for all in the plaza. It’s a fun addition to the experience!

If Grinchmas isn’t your style, you can always head over to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter for their holiday shenanigans. The buildings of Hogsmeade have been decorated even further towards the holiday spirit. Getting ready for the Yule Ball with lights twinkling all over the buildings and musical performances by the Singing Frog Choir. There’s a hint of Christmas in the air everywhere.

They even have brought back Hot Butterbeer, and hot mead for the adults.

Nightly, shortly after sunset, Hogwarts is illuminated by a new holiday show dedicated specifically to celebrating Christmas.

On top of all the beautiful festivities, there are so many gifts available for purchase for friends and family at the shops before you leave for the night. Whether your friends and family are fans of Harry Potter, Super Nintendo, Minions, and many more options, there’s something that you can take home to please almost anyone in your household.
