What To Do For Halloween In San Diego In 2023!

As I’ve returned to the San Diego beat of the site, I’m proud to be producing the first San Diego Halloween Event list for Nerd News Social.

Now if you are wondering what spectacular and spooky events are coming to the county, you can check out our annual list before purchasing your tickets.

With so many options, let’s take a look at what made my list of favorites!

Mr. Jack O’ Lanterns Pumpkin Patch

Looking for something fun for the family, and still need to pick up your pumpkins for decorations and food? Well This family-owned pumpkin patch not only sells pumpkins, but also has games, activities, bouncing houses, pumpkin carving, and even a spooky maze for the whole family. They start popping up from the first of October all the way through Halloween.

Here in San Diego they have two locations:

6710 La Jolla Blvd, La Jolla, CA 92037

3190 Mission Blvd, San Diego, CA 92109

Admission and parking is free, but additional fees and charges are available for the rest of the experiences. Find out more information about their experiences Here

The Scream Zone at the Del Mar Fairgrounds

Coming to the Del Mar Fairgrounds is the Scream Zone! This experience has three specific haunted and spooky mazes to experience. The general admission ticket sells starting at $32.99 and gives you a 30 minute window of entry to the event. There is also a Scream Pass option starting at $47.99 and includes an hour long window of entry and much shorter VIP entry lines for mazes.

The event runs from October 5th and continues through Halloween, and they even are offering the first night for half price! Parking on-site is $15, but drop-off is always free.

2260 Jimmy Durante Blvd, Del Mar, California 92014

You can even get a discount coupon for the experience at Goodwill stores for $5 off! Find out more and get tickets Here.

Haunted Harvest

Fort Cross transforms into the holiday spirit with the inclusion of a Haunted Hayride, Harvest Hoedown with Jug Band, Ghost Stories, and while it’s not listed on the activities for this year, the prior experiences have included Pumpkin Seed Spitting Contest, Apple Bobbing Contest, and Apple Cider Pressing and Tasting. If you want to attend, the experience only takes place on Saturdays from October 7th through October 28th.

4425 Hwy 78, Santa Ysabel CA 92070

To be able to attend, you need to prepay your reserved hayride early Here!

So which event are you going to hit this spooky season?
