With Fan Fest Nights a couple weeks away, Universal invited us to check out some of the delicious treats they are bringing to the themed event nights at the theme park.
As for the Star Trek themed food, we got to try the Vulcan Fritters and Bajoran Hasperat. Both were flavorful options, but I personally can’t wait to try the Korean themed Cardassian Dog. We also got our hands on their Tribble Truffle Trio, which was very rich, and recommended if you like coconut.
We didn’t get to try out a lot of the Back to the Future foods, but the Flux Capacitor Patty Melt was a small tasty treet. I would have loved to try the pot pie though!
We delved into our share of Dungeons and Dragons, trying out the Beholder’s Brew Fondue, which has a very creamy beer fondue, additionally the Traveler’s Rations were very tasty and included a piece of honeycomb! We got to try the Eldritch Blast and Tasha’s Caustic Brew cocktails, and they were flavorful, sweet, and impressive. The Caustic Brew was also spicy and hit a spot that we really enjoyed! The Fireball cupcake also hit that spicey note by mixing chili and strawberries within a chocolate brownie!
Of the One Piece themed food, we got the chance to try the Franky’s Cola Barbacoa (Shredded beef tacos) and frankly the Pineapple star toppings were awesome! Additionally, the Luffy’s Meat on a Bone and Sanji’s Chicken Adobo was so juicy and tasty! The Chopper Cupcake (Vanilla sponge cake filled with crispy cotton candy pieces with cotton candy frosting) was so sweet and tasty, and the Devil Fruit Concha had an awesome ginger pineapple filling!
As for the Harry Potter themed food, we got to try the Hogwarts Cornish Pasty and its many amazing sauces. The Curry Chicken and Toad in the Hole main dishes were also very filling.
While we didn’t get a chance to check out the food from the event’s Yoshi themed experience, we are still very excited to try it during the event!
