The major importance of Familink has to do specifically with its cellular features in their new models that will allow friends and family to be able to cellularly upload a picture into the device from anywhere with the frames phone connection.
Now no matter how technically savvy, or not so much, your parents are, you can share pictures of your children with your family.
The device can be used with Wi-Fi without needing to pay for the monthly cellular fee. If you only use Wi-Fi, then you will have to set up the frame with the location’s Wi-Fi. The benefit of the cellular models is that it makes it easier to be able to send the gift to family, and allow them just to place it on a shelf and enjoy the pictures as they start to flow into the house.
