Comics Round Up – San Diego Comic Con 2023 Comic Book Panels

We normally like to talk about our favorite panels taking place at conventions before they happen, but with me specifically attending San Diego Comic Con this year, I wanted to dedicate this week’s Comics Round Up to my stand-alone comic book panel suggestions for the convention.

Jamie Lee Curtis’s Mother Nature: A Candid Discussion of Her All-New Graphic Novel/Movie

Jamie Lee Curtis is debuting her graphic novel, Mother Nature at SDCC. This eco-horror graphic novel is an adaptation from her script. Curtis and will be joined with Russell Goldman, Karl Stevens, and Andrew Sumner will talk about the book ahead of it’s motion picture release. Room – 6A

Defiant: The Robert Smalls Story

The story of Robert Smalls is an amazing heist from stealing a Confederate warship, and how that one act lead to him securing his freedom, his time within the Northen Army, and then his time in Congress. Now Legion M is turning the story into an inspiring graphic novel titled Defiant, before releasing a film down the line. This panel will include Rob Edwards, Marvin Jones, Chris Robinson, Nikolas Draper-Ivey, and Ray-Anthony Height. Room – 6DE
