You may have seen our prior visit to Toothsomes, see that Here, but a year has passed since it’s openned. While we were a huge fan of the really high end dishes and dining experience at the park, we also loved the candy bar and themed shop that took up the right side of the chocolate shop’s base floor.
During our first visit we picked up the Croque Monsieur and a Flatbread Pizza that were decadent.
This second time however, we found that the menu that was multiple pages before was turned into a double-sided one sheet.
Burgers, sandwiches, and a couple higher end dishes. We picked up Western BBQ Burger, and their Brisket and Wild Mushroom Meatloaf, which survived the menu purge.
The burger was a burger. It didn’t really stand out as amazing, and the fries were not something that called to us. As for the Wild Mushroom Meatloaf, the meatloaf was bland, the mashed potatoes were left wanting flavor, and the gravy was a weird addition flavorwise. The only thing that was tasty however was the mushrooms, but I have a hard time finding chanterelles mushrooms to be “wild.”
To make matters worse however, they tore out the giftshop and chocolate shop that sold treats to park attendees and turned it into a basic bar.
It’s quite the loss. It’s not irreversable, but it’s bad for now. At the very least the milkshakes are still there, and those are definitly worth checking out and picking up.
See you next time at Citywalk!
